The World’s First Non-Alcoholic Distilled Spirit, Seedlip, Launches Grove 42
This post might be a little different from the rest, and it is because I resently started writing editorial copy for an online entertinment site that’s branching into food and drinks. For years, I wanted to explore being a food and travel writer for a media outlet, yet never had the guts to do it. That’s a whole different story. Maybe I’ll dedicate a post to it soon. Either way, one of goals is now a reality. From time to time, I’ll share those stories here so you can see some of the things I’m covering. Yay! ~ Crystal
P.S. This one is particularly close to my heart because I was sober for 11 months and really struggled to find an alternative drink. Being sober due to alcohol abuse is hard, and I commend anyone who takes the journey towards sobriety.
Would you believe only one non-alcoholic spirit exists in the world? It’s true… and it’s just as pleasing as your favorite liquor minus the horrendous hangover, sugar rush, and often experimental concoctions found at outrageously expensive bars. Enter Seedlip, the world’s first and only distilled non-alcoholic spirit birthed in 2015 by British mastermind, Ben Branson. Free from sugar, sweeteners, and calories, Seedlip is the perfect replacement for those taking a break from alcohol or do not drink at all.
With a growing population seeking healthier alternatives from what they put in their bodies to how they maintain healthy lifestyles, Seedlip is a new and revolutionary option to traditional cocktails. Similar to the increase in restaurants offering vegetarian and vegan options, Seedlip creates a sense of inclusion for those who may or may not drink, yet still want to enjoy a night out with friends. “No one wants to feel like an outsider or as if they’re missing out by not drinking. Our spirits cater to everyone and eliminates those potential uncomfortable moments,” said Ben Branson, Founder of Seedlip.
On September 10, Seedlip launched its third non-alcoholic spirit, Grove 42 (in the US). Celebrating the orange, the citrus blend contains hints of bitter orange, mandarin, blood orange, lemongrass, sansho peppercorn, ginger and lemon. Perfect with a splash of soda water, Grove 42 is good, like really good! Aside from its recent addition, Seedlip also has Spice 94 and Garden 108.
